Located about 40 km from Moshi, Chemka Hot Springs is easily accessible for a day trip. It perfectly complements your Tanzanian journey, whether you’re preparing for a Kilimanjaro climb, winding down after a trek, or seeking a relaxing break during your safari.

Your driver-guide will pick you up from Moshi town in the morning. Enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 1 to 1.5 hours through local villages and open landscapes before arriving at the Chemka Hot Springs, also known as Kikuletwa.
Upon your arrival, you can swim in the crystal-clear and refreshing water, which is so transparent that you can see all the way to the bottom. There is also an optional rope swing tied to one of the trees, allowing you to enjoy swinging while taking in the view of the sparkling pool below. Alternatively, you can sit on the edge of the pool and dangle your feet in the water for a relaxing fish massage.
You can relax by the water, enjoy a packed lunch, or visit a local pub for drinks and snacks, such as grilled meat skewers.
After spending a day at the springs, you'll return to Moshi feeling refreshed and relaxed.
